Another bad type of service by our Desi so called Professional.

Today my jack ass representative (its a law firm in Mississauga near Tomkan & Derry) i am still kind of cursing my self why i took their services at the first place i think i was on crack at that time (couple of years ago) he ripped me of 1500$ for just recommending to withdraw the application (afterwards when he got his fees) and reapply in 2006 again. They called me to pick the forms for the parents sponsership apparently there is no name printed its almost similar to forms printed off the internet (This is contrary to what trinity mentioned so i am kind of in doubt) . Last week i had to drive all the way to Mississauga to get the approval letter first i told the stupid lady to fax/email me the letter she said she doesn't have time to fax nor scan and email it to me.They didnt even had the courtesy to give me call that my sponsorship file is approved. In the letter it said that i will get the package in 2 weeks from then. The lady from the law firm mentioned that my parents does not need to fill the forms they would be directly gone to Delhi since you had voluntarily withdrawn the file in 2005 (for not meeting income requirements at that time). I didn't get what she was talking about and she was replying rudely to me. The laywer doesn't want to see me the only time i talked to him was during the first time when he wanted the fees. At that time he assured me that we will try to push the file of 2003 application and then all of a sudden within few weeks called me again asking for more fees and then telling me afterward that i will have to withdraw the file and the reapply to be in the queue again why the hell you didnt tell me that at the first place when i came to take your suggestion i could have filled the forms myself its so straightforward. Their all desi staff doesn't know even the rules how the immigration files are approved. This law firm is kind of Unprofessional they have created a very fancy website and their offer all type of legal services they don't specialize in anything. From this experience i personally think its always better to take services from a Gora Lawyer.
This is just my take. As i am quite upset with our Indian professional specially a laywer.

Why did your lawyer ask you to withdraw your application and re-apply? Was there any complication in the first place - if LICO was a concern then why apply in the first place? Shouldn't the lawyer have told you so in the first place. In most cases (almost always), it is easier and better to do it yourself.

And in my case I got the forms from CIC, Canada with the details of my family members (whom I sponsored) therein with the required number of forms. There was a letter enclosed which mentioned what were the next steps (post the kit to sponsored persons in home country).

When i applied for their immigration in 2003 (i landed in 2002) at that time i was single. I had acquired sufficient income to meet the LICO requirements. However i was not aware of the requirement to maintain that income level untill the file gets approved ( during that time as far as i remember there was a huge immigration backlog). Anyways, i did a job change for my career growth basically switched from decent paying labour job to a contract(7 months) professional job in 2004. Unluckily i was laid of from my contract job and was without job for almost year was on EI my martial status also changed during that time. And them come 2005 CIC send me a communication to update my financial status and this is where i thought i should sought a professional help cos there where some gaps in my income and for a year i was without job. I didn't know how to present this case to CIC.

Dear CDs,

Can any one shed some light on this?

*) My parents sponsorship file was approved by CPC-M in March 2008 and my
parents submitted application kit to CHC New Delhi in March 2008. My
parents got acknowledgment receipt with file number in April 2008.
However, my wife changed her job recently with pay rise and now works with
different company. Do we need to inform of this change to CPC-M? or CHC
New Delhi?

Thanks

Ecom

Hello Folks

Question 1
I paid RPRF fees. I did not get request to pay but i paid it online and print recipt can you please let me know where to send recipt of RPRF , mississuga office or New delhi Office and best way to send recipt fax , email , mail.

Question 2
Three months for acknowlegement letter , 9 months for first rewiew , 33 months for interview as per AOR letter. My parents forwarded file to new delhi office in august 07 i has been 11 months now. Should i contact cic new delhi office because two months over the nine months (time written on AOR). We did not even get a medical request. in caips every thing seems to be fine interview is waived. no missing documents. BFDATE was 16 jan 2007 which is almost 6 months old. Looking for right step (confused) what should be best for me . i have seen so many people they got medical request beetween 3 to six months . Almost seen timelines for all people in this forum (parents sponsorship class) all are less than 6 months for medical request.
should i request update from chc new delhi or Involve MP in my caSE
