Tatkaal passport can take anywhere between 15-35 days....

Gimme ur suggestion but asap please i need to know......time is of essence...

OK here's the update......so far......

Submitted the passports for my parents to New Delhi Canadian Embassy by 1 day Courier on 8th December 2008 and the embassy called us back in India to say that they received the passports on 17th Dec 2008 (usually they don't do that) even though the passport (courier package) was delivered to the door guard at the Delhi embassy on 8th Dec 2008 it took nearly a week to reach the appropriate person and acknowledge the receipt of the passports. So I would appreciate if any one know updates on time line as when the visa may be issued?? As i have been noticing that in the last quarter of 2008 new applicants have gotten their passports stamped roughly in abt 4 weeks time...from the time they submitted the passport to the embassy....Any thoughts/ suggestion would be greatly appreciated.....

Dear CDs,

My parents application was submitted to CHC New Delhi and as per e-client status; processing was started in first week of April 2008. It's almost 9 months now and no updates yet. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned ordering CAPS. My question is

"Is is compulsory get signature of both applicant and sponsor on consent form or only sponsor can sign the consent form"?

Same case with me, my parents have submitted in the month of March 2008 and so far nothing heard

I got bore of checking Application Status everyday.

What to do now????????

Nothing can be done.. you just have to wait for your sponsorship to be approved, which will take upto 2.5 years from the time of application

My parents application was submitted to CIC Mississauga in January 2006. Application was approved in February 2008 and after that my parents submitted application to CHC New Delhi in March 2008. CHC New Delhi started processing application in April 2008.

It's almost 9 months now. Is it going to take 2.5 years? If that is the case then I will try to sponsor my parents for visitor visa.
