Thanks bhootnath. We are exploring as you have suggested. Hopefully it will work out else will look at the affidavit option.

My online Client Application Status on the website for Sponsorship application (not immigration application) for my parents indicated Decision Made and i was sent a letter on June 19th.
Since i did not receive a letter in mail i called up cic to find out what happened.

The agent said the application has been approved but she does not know if it was sent to Ottawa or Delhi. She also said that if there are 2 people then it is usually sent to New Delhi. She also said i have to wait 4 weeks before requesting another letter so i will have to call them again if i dont receive the letter.

My Questions
1) On this forum there are sponsors with 2 people in the application but the file was sent to New Delhi. So i don't know why she said this?
2) Also does anyone have a approximate time estimate on
a) how much time does Ottawa take to send the request for Medicals.
b) how much time after the medicals are sent the request for passport is sent
c) how much time after sending the passport the VISA is stamped and returned

Basically i would like to know in the case of the file being sent to Ottawa how soon before my parents land

On a side note... i live in Mississauga..Does it really take 4 weeks for a letter from Mississauga to reach Mississauga

FYI - there are no official timelines, but after speaking to several people on forums, I have a feeling:

3 months to receive AOR
3-6 months to receive Medicals request
2-3 months to receive passport request.
1 month to receive passports stamped with Visa.
Still another year to go - assume mid 2013 for parents to land here.

Chittesh, I've also heard that CIC is required to clear the backlog by end of 2013, so if all goes well, most cases will be complete by then.

Hi,
I applied for my mom permanent immigration in sep 2007 the file moved to delhi
she filled all the papers did her medical almost 6 months and send her passport to delhi embassy almost 6 months ago we didn't hear anything yet when i see online all i see is this message below for last six months.

Please share your thoughts on this as online message is not updated since last
six months i mean are they processing or not any idea
