I think you're having some trouble identifying "them".
Since you asked for my personal opinion, I absolutely hate with all passion all jihadi fundamentalists. These are pests who need to be wiped out from the planet. I also don't see any point in wasting time reasoning with these guys or doing a root cause analysis on why they are that way. In my mind, they're diseased beyond repair and need to be put down.
But you need to target this cancer to cure it, you don't get anywhere by generalizing and stereotyping because not everyone who shares the religion shares this idealogy. There are a lot of muslims who see through this obscene fanaticism.
If your response to something like this is for all hindus to hate all muslims and vice-versa, you're falling into the exact trap the fanatics want to lay. Their weapon is chaos and their goals are best established once a society is thrown into chaos. The only way to combat these nutjobs is strategic targeted action thats rooted less in words and rhetoric, more on planning and implementation.
There's no question there's a Pakistan connection to these Individuals and India will have to deal with Pakistan very severely on this. But what about the rats in our own backyard? There are still a lots of outfits that operate within India openly supporting jihadist views and this is allowed under the pretext of democracy. These guys need to be wiped out. I don't support any form of democracy which forces a country to harbor rats that support and applaud its own destruction. Let's first weed these guys out and then go after the ones in Pakistan, especially that freak Dawood Ibrahim. Its high time India sent a special force to take care of him.

Send in covert forces/agents and spend a fraction of the costs incurred in conventional warfare into activities against him/his family etc. Maybe he is well protected but he has a cook, he has chauffers, gardners etc.
One can get to him if we put enough resources into it.
Do the same or all others involved. The boys from London were recruited by someone there. Who? Make sure they cannot do this again.If some one else steps in to take over a vacant space put him/her on notice too if not out of operation. Use whatever means necessary to take the fight to them. Join hands with CIA MOSSAD etc to root all these guys out and put an end to their activities. The intelligence activities have to be offensive instead of defensive. Let them be the ones looking over their backs ALL the time. Once they see themselves and their families having to live like that...its going to change their mindset to some extent.
