Folks,
After waiting for over 2 years i.e. 2 years after sending all the docs required with my RQ, I received the Oath Letter yesterday!!

I have also sent my doc. in May, gave test endof April,and there is no change in status so far.............

Atleast you have given me some relief.

One question--did they call you after sending RQ??and What is the duration between sending RQ and oath??

Desibabu - Just curious, did you and your wife submit the citizenship applications separately. In one of your post you mentioned your wife is a Canadian citizen.

Santoshi: FYI, I got the RQ when I gave the test in May 2007...sent docs in 3 weeks and its only now that I received the Oath Letter..so it took me more than 2 years to get the letter....also - they did not call me during this 2 year+ period...

Bajava: Yes, we applied separately as I knew my case would be delayed because of all my business trips outside Canada

u wrote u gave test in May 2007,it means u got Oath letter after 2 yrs (2 days back). Am I right.........In my case,I sent my RQ in May 2009,any guess how long it will take to get an Oath???

I checked with them,they r saying u will get reply by OCT......still confused.

Hi Santoshi,
Yes, you are correct - it took me 2+ years to get the Letter of Oath from the day I submitted all docs.
I can't say when you might get yours but keep waiting and good luck!

Finally I got ur reply.
My case is delay because of too many stamps in passport and for that reason,other family members r not getting citizenship--- as we all applied together.---
What do u think --should I seperate the file and if YES then in WHAT GROUND?--pL. SUGGEST.
