...... I for one do not endorse the gay marriage .... and am willing to do my part in voicing my opinion .....We have rights too .... right to chose the laws by which we will be governed by

YOu have the right to choose what you do, not suppress the rights of those who follow another path.

Is homosexuality Genetic or a result of the enivironment?

Yes it is a genetical issue "Gay" BUT "lesbian" in few cases due to imotional reasons they get inclined to same sex arrangement and tend to return after having a couple of years stable imotional life.
Movie Fire - Dipa Nair was based in similar theme.
It is not environment, so nobody has to worry for their kids to accept gay relationship just by having gay couple next door.

The reason I asked that question was because Indians are a closed society on homosexuality and they attach great taboos to it and I thought that this forum might really frown at such people. However, Why, for that matter dude I am gay too, and I fully support the bill!!

I for one would feel extremely uncomfortable if I saw a two males sitting next to me kissing each other passionately -

And when you see two females kissing in the Porno movies...does it make comfortable? I am sure many of us enjoy that part....isn't it? Then why have double standards. The roots of Homosexuality are found ever since human spicies existed. Even our own Kamasutra mention about it.

People say being gay is not natural but there are so many things in this world which are not natural. E.g. Internet, TV, Phone....all these are man-made things. Why do you use them? You can not make rules as per your own convineince. I am not advocating being gay is Right or Wrong? Its the choice these people have made and let them live as they want as long as they are not harming anyone.

With time one must change and adapt to new environment and circumstances. Thats nature.....

Cheers

i do not support this initiative. it will lead, in my view, to a further disintegration of society. the family and the family struture is what makes us what we are. take away the family and you are left with pure hedonism.

look at society now: the community, the family, these institutions are falling away.

if gay marriages are allowed then you know what will follow: gays can adopt children; they will teach children about homosexuality in school; are you prepared for this?

i personally have nothing against gays in society. but to institutionalize it, in my eyes, is a big mistake.

some say the march of history has been the freeing of the individual. this could be true: in the middle ages people had no choices; their destinies were set. even up to the 1950s, parents lived for their children; some took on dreary jobs or abandoned personal wishes for their family. that era is now gone. everything is done for the individual. teenagers want to kill their parents, most marriages in canada end in divorce...

if the march of history is to free the individual, it may lead to his destruction.

maybe i'm too conservative... but that's my view.
