Dear All,

Yes, all those comings and not comings got over on 25th afternoon, when I landed in CANADA. Me and my wife reached here at last and have started our life. Today is the 6th day in canada.

DELETED TO AVOID FURTHER DEBATES...Sorry.

Thanks to all of you and the great website, which has made great contributions to enable me to define a right strategy.

Regards,

VJ.

Welcome VJ :)

You have a very positive attitude and that above all is the major ingredient in the formula for success. :)

Good Luck

Dear All,

Yes, all those comings and not comings got over on 25th afternoon, when I landed in Day - 5 (1st March) - I got a call and that was my first interview scheduled for yesterday. I went there after giving 5 minutes on their website. The lady started with an expected sentence "YOU HAVE NO CANADIAN EXPERIENCE"and "YOU ARE TOO EXPERIENCED FOR US". But I could manage those very well and at the end she had to surrender. "SO WITH THAT I GOT MY FIRST JOB IN THE FIRST INTERVIEW AND WHICH WAS MY TARGET". The main target was not to listen/think/learn about labour jobs. We do not know what is a labour job in canada. So with that positive mind we always applied to jobs with talking business.

If any one of you have remembered I had said SURVIVAL, ESTABLISHMENT and RISIING, the three phases I learned and conceived about the CANADA project, the first phase has started. The mission is not to think about savings, making money. Its all about getting adjusted to the new world keeping the two ends meet.

Day - 6 (2nd march) - We are gonna see CN tower, Ontario lake etc and would go to buy snow shoes and other required stuffs. Today the main task is to submit my wife's resume to various places.

NEXT MISSION AHEAD IS MY WIFE's JOB, which will surely come through as soon as possible.

Thanks to all of you and the great website, which has made great contributions to enable me to define a right strategy.

Regards,

VJ.

Congrats on your success. Hope you can continue building on the same. Welcome!

Wellcome to Canada.

VJ,

For the benefit of all can you tell us what you told to counter the "Canadian Experience" thing.

Thanks

Hi VJ,
Welcome to Canada and congratulations on getting the job right on the fifth day of landing!!!

Could you please throw some light on the following for the benefit of other Desi family members:
1) How did you manage to counter 'Lack of Canadian Experience' and 'Too much Experienced' things? I mean what were your replies?
2) What exactly is the kind of job you've got? Some details...

All the best!!:)

I Played all the messages came to the answering machine of my relative against my submissions on MONSTER from india. My conversion ratio has been very good by the grace of god. However I was looking forward for my first interview and simply wanted to launch from there on, as I hate defeats, especially in interviews.

Welcome and Congrats!

You mean, you had applied on Monster to this company that hired you and it was waiting for you to land in order to interview you???

The first two days of your landing was the weekend. So you got your job offer within, effectively TWO days of landing here, not five, right?? I think you might very well have set a new record!!

Thank the grace of God not only for giving you a good "conversion ratio", but for just about everything.
BTW, what is this "conversion ratio " ratio really?? How do I measure mine?:D

Are you sure she started with that sentence? And she said both these things?? Excuse me, but wasn't this "lady" ALREADY aware of these facts from your resume that you had submitted on monster?? Didn't you find that a little weird? :h

I think there is a misunderstanding here.......:)

VJ has nowhere stated in his post that he has already got a job, although he has managed to get an interview.

or....am I missing something here?
