Thanks for your encouraging remarks. I need assistance from you to highlight this issue somewhere in your site (if possible) in order to attract more and more people to write and give their feedback. This process will help a lot in covering a lot of points while drafting the memorandum.

Have a wonderful day!

Hi Puru, Blue Lobster and other friends

It seems that we are now again getting back on right track. I have quite a few things to write but I am really busy and promise to write as soon as possible but not later than after Sept 18. I am confident that my input will be certainly of immense help to other CDs.
Thanks to you all

wow
what an end to this grt game of words!
i think u guys did a good job all.
im sure puru has many supporters.
he was patient and did not get too provoked to back off completely
we must all respect this
being optimistic doesnt mean one ignores an unfair system
and being pessimist doesnt mean people who voice their opinions have to be silenced
it is a sad fact that many professionals who did grt back home are having to do labour jobs here and it is not entirely bcoz they lack optimism or fighting prowess or motivation
and its grt that somepeople are optimistic enough to think that something should be done about it
and how many times has it happened that the moderaters have tried to silence ppl by marking them as double ids or something.....!
pls refrain
lets all try to make a difference

Hi Puru & all CD members,

First of all, the Canadian government & industry must recognize foreign work experience. This will only help Canada to progress better.

I see so many people who come from India or other countries on a project basis & go back to India after some time. They work on a critical job. They do not have Canadian experience, do they?

I know of some friends who have worked as security guard or building cleaner or in an icecream factory making ice-cream. The same persons have got a good job subsequently in an engineering company based on their Indian qualifications & experience. How does this kind of Canadian experience help them in the job they are now doing? Similarly some people have worked in customer service or retail sales in Canada & have got jobs in good companies in engineering sector drilling out oil.

Initially when I came here I applied for a job in a company for an entry-leve sales job. But I was not given the job. After 6 months, the same company offered me a job after I worked with a competitor. So many other companies where I applied for a position similar or lower than the work I used to do in India have not replied at all.

On one hand the Canadian govt. gave me an interview waiver after looking at my work experience & English skills. After coming here, my work experience does not count. I work at an entry-level position. I consider that apart from being my loss, it is also Canada's loss in that they are not able to utilise my experience.

This is true of so many others too, isn't it.

Thanks & regards.

Rajan.
