TK,
I am not confused. i am fully satisfied that i am in india .it was my own step to come back to india for which i have no regret whatsoever.
yeah you are right I am having no right to advice to Rajan.
last time when i was thinking to again have a try to settle in canada ,i was devoting lot of time in observing views on CD site. I always find Rajan a humble and sincere contributor to the site.
When i found Rajan's post I just thought to write.

To settle abroad or to come back is one's own decision which cannot be termed as right or wrong by others (including myself)and i strongly believe in destiny.

"jahan ka dana -paani kismat me likha ho insan vahin jata hai."

bye TK,

PTK,
Thanks for your reply. I am humbled by your reply.
One correction : it is "we" are in no way worthy to advise Rajan on his decision.
As a poet said in Tamil :
"Vazhgha Vazhamudan inthiiyavil " ( Live a long and respectful life in india with your off springs). This only comes into my mind.

If I am destined to go back to India and settle down there, then so be it. Same for others. It's destiny and I strongly believe in it. I want to have a stinct in ME, lets see what god has it for me.

IT folks with NA experience get good pay in Bangalore. Forget desi firms, go for MNCs including GE, IBM, etc. My wife's cousin works in IBM in Bangalore. The guy is abt 31-32, am told that he makes more than a lakh pm. Bought an apt. for 37 lakhs. Banks are ready to finance big money when they see that type of a paystub. IMO, things will only improve for IT professionals in India. Mind u, not only big cities, smaller cities are slowly catching up.

The dog and the bone
(be content with what you have - greed and envy seldom pay)

A dog held a juicy bone in his jaws as he crossed a bridge over a brook. When he looked down into the water he saw a another dog below with what appeared to be a bigger juicier bone. He jumped into the brook to snatch the bigger bone, letting go his own bone, He quickly learned of course that the bigger bone was just a reflection, and so he ended up with nothing.

Iceberg,
Can you tell the moral of the story?
Is to to conclude that :
People in Canada stay content in Canada and
People in India stay content in India?
Please do refresh our brains from your teaser!
TK
Sidenote :
DIo, you forgot Oracle. They are to hire 4000 people in india this year and their pay is very good. My wife was rejected in the final interview at Oracle in 2002 but now they are hiring every tom dick and harry. It seems that Oracle's then hyderabad office lobby was like a 5 * hotel and the receptionist (female) was like a beauty queen. (which we donot often see in Canada)
Side note 2 : Iceberg, Many thanks for the explanation given by you as listed below

The point is be satisfied with what you have. I strive and work for a better future but not because I do not like what I have right now but because that is my duty and responsibility. I am more than happy with my financial status although I am not working right now. But soon I shall find a job or a business and ensure that it is a success.

I have one question for you: You say you work 7 days a week... over 70 hours a week! You also say thast the reason you are sending your daughter to India. You also say in another thread that you are a professional / working with computers.

Can you not work from home ie/ telecommute so you can spend time with ur daughter and keep her from canadian influences :D
