Probably no issue, I drove to the US on G2 and tried to confirm this before leaving however there was no official information available. Conclusion was rules should be the same i.e. if I can drive in Canada with G2 then same applies in the US. You may like to check if your car insurance coverage is also valid in the US .

Exactly, I called the DOT of New York and New Jersey and they did not even know what a G2 is. One lady even asked me "But in Canada you also have licenses in more language , isn't it?" She meant French and in that case she said you might need a translation. Wonder how to do that?
But all in all, G2 is fine and ensure you follow the rules of the state you are driving in. For example many states have the move over law and some do not. Driving and talking on mobile is NO NO in New York.

My G2 licence is expiring in one week. I took G test but failed first time, I am trying to book another appointment asap, but my question is: If I can not get dates for the G test before the expiry date, is there any alternative ?
Is there any provision that I can extend my G2 or some other option?

Get hold of some driving instructors. They always manage early dates!
Yes I am trying that but for my mental peace I was asking if someone has any idea what are the alternatives in worst case scenerio (i.e. no dates for the test)
