I need the same tire size and was calling around for quotes. Not looking for a Winter tire though, I'm looking for a good all-season (saves me installation costs every year and I've discovered over time that if I drive easy and avoid driving in the mega-storms, this is a better alternative)
Just spoke to a guy who told me (sounded convincing) that Michelins are more hype than value and you're basically paying for the brand, not the tire.
He recommended a Sumitomo (japanese) all season instead, which is significantly cheaper (about $130 per tire installed, balanced vs. $200), but according to him, better quality and overall value.
Anybody ever used a Sumitomo? Would appreciate feedback...
Trying to get 195-65-R15 winter tires.Tried Costco, Canadian tire and Wall mart.
Every one says no stock. Any one got these tires recently?
If you are in Toronto, try Simply tire - 515 Champagne Dr (near Dufferin st and Finch ave). I got mine(195-65-R15) changed last month for 360 + tax. This price was just for 4 tires alone, no rims. I bought Triangular TR 777 (Chinese make) and it runs well on snow. You can also get Michelin if you are willing to pay extra.
Thanks
Manoj
Thank you Manoj for the information.
Try "Active Green and Ross"

They say that they would never be sold out of tires you want. There is a search engine on their website for the size of tires & also there is special discount for CAA members. They have a lot of stores in GTA. They also offer free life time tire rotation & road side assistance for 2 years.
Last year I bought "Yokohama TRZ Avid" from them & it runs perfect on snow despite being an all-season tire. The reviews on the internet & of the mechanics say that it is the best all-season tire in the market when I checked last year. Not sure of new tires available this years. But while driving in the snow we had last week, I was pretty comfortable & confident. My tires are one year old now.
