Definitely. One adult drives, one adult in passenger seat, kid in the back child seat the other two back seats can be folded. You could lay all of them flat before you can pile another on top.

Better one is :
You and the Kids take the TTC.
Your friend will drive with the luggage and he will give you a call once he arrives.
Get a bag of Tim Bits, and give it to him, while you unload the luggage.
