Hi Ashwani,
Just think of it this way, if the police issues a speeding ticket or demerit points for say something like failing to stop on a stop sign etc they give a ticket to the driver.
Hows does it matter if the car is rental or not.
Please ask the rental company this: In case i am caught while driving your car (speeding/stop sign etc) who gets the ticket and the points and who pays it?
If it is you then your record is affected and subsequently your insurance rates go up.
