Your tone sounds quite resentful. Are you a Canadian who lost a job to an Indian or are you one of those Canadian born Indians who just won't accept their Desi heritage? Maybe You are a frustrated Desi who feels that you are more qualified than most people working in the IT field in better positions. If you are none of these, then you need to check your tone cuz thats what you sound like. No Hard Feelings, Just Curious.

Infact i have lived in india for 25 yrs, have never lost a job to another indian/canadian nor do i resent someone getting a good job. I am bluntly stating the facts which may or may not go well with some people which i understand but no one can deny that these are the things which you would have seen or heard on an ongoing basis. Flauntng your technical skills will not get you a job in canada Ethics, personality and good inter-personal skills will get you a job than anything else.

Dont take this too personal.

My friend, most of the work they do in india is enhancements, maintenance, data conversion which is low level work at best. You can count on your fingers the number of indian companies who have a genuine IT product which they architected from the ground up.

Who told you this? Oracle has 3000 employees in India - do you think they are doing only the stuff you mentioned? You should also know that the operating system you are using is also coded in India.

The whole world acknowleded India as IT Super Power. If you don't believe it, it doesn't make much difference.

India is an IT superpower?Haha great.. I know what oracle does in India. Oracle doesnt tell you how many of those 3000 employees actually work in product development. 99% of them are in maintenance projects. Moment US stops outsourcing, the supposedly indian superpower status will fall like 9 pins.
The O/S i am coding in India is so buggy no wonder and so many security gaffes occur everyday. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Garvo,

You're wasting your breath. You should have figured out by now the degree of intellect you're dealing with here :D.

No point in disputing meaningless comments without any sort of objectivity.
