Canada sucks for shopping when compared to the states. Both in price and selection.

I can't believe it, et tu, BL???!! Has all the negativity in this site finally caught up with you too? :(

OK, you may not get as many great deals as in US. Some items are more expensive, and there is the 14% tax in BC (I know it is 15% in ON), but our shopping experience has so far been reasonably ok here.

Yes, Its slowly seeping into me now. ;)

Seriously though, I'm just being honest. Although I love Canada, I have no issues pointing out the negatives. And believe me you, I have a list.

I'm not saying you don't get stuff. But really, there's no comparison with the states for shopping, at least in my observation.

What do you mean by melting pot?
Do you mean a cultural melting pot?
If so, Canada has that just as much as the US, if not more.

Sure, it is perhaps a bigger melting pot! But the pot is made of iron, is rusty, and old. So are the contents in this melting pot.

The "other" melting pot is of richer metal and the contents smell better too!

:D
