Biggest problem in India is of BSP ... bijli sadak pani ..... whatever maybe you position or status in India ... once that "bijli"goes of in 45 C plus temp. .... you become a zero .... a generator can run a fan but that is no consolation in that much heat ......
Now the question of pani ... i have lived in delhi for most part of my life .... the national capital .... i dont know of any area which get 24 / 7 water supply.
As for sadak ... whatever car you drive ... it breaks your heat when you get those dents in your car .... infact i have rarely found a car in delhi which does not have a dent or a scratch ......
again any amount of money you have these problems persist ..... these are day to day problems
I don't know how many times do we need to beat this dead horse. But lets go one more time -
* No mater what metro you live, min 3 Hrs a day is gone driving and bitching on road. Its no good here either, but at least it is not that bad.
* No Job is 9 to 5, specially in IT (I am talking IT, not call centre). You spend at least 12 Hrs a day out of Home on weekday (If there is something called weekend). You like to sleep 7 Hrs. Left with 5 Hrs. 3 Hrs at Night & 2 Hrs in Morning.
- Where do you have time for your Spouse and Kids?
* Where is space for my kids to play outside? They cant even play Gully Cricket anymore, as Cars have lined up everywhere.
* My friend came to Toronto from Mumbai with her JrKG going daughter. School said, kid needs to come back in a month or she'll have to go through new admision (read donation).
Besides, you know, her Immigrant is Foreign National. But back home Immigrant is 'Other Province' National. I am not just talking about Mumbai. No mater which city you go, everybody treats those 'Other Province' Nationals poorly.

Mumbai Maazi Ladki ...
I am not a India beater or a Canada 'fan' either - but one thing sure bothers me is that most complaints relating to life in India/Canada revolve around having maids, servants, drivers etc...somehow we are still not out of that complex to have some one else do our job for us...purely on money power. Also, if that is the employment many people are getting in India, surely we need to rethink about progress for nation and the citizens.
For those who are not aware, in Mumbai, they already have unions of maids, servants and drivers and very soon they are coming up with weekely day offs and paid benefits. Add to that the atleast 1 story per day per city where a wealthy person is duped/killed/taken to the cleaners by one of thier servants, maids or driver etc...
In short I dont feel these previleges will be around for long in India.

With all due respect I d like to learn more on the following :
Culture : Okay there are boy / girl relationships in India but whats the proportion for either that or live in u/m relationships - ?? My assumption 10% in India and >60% here ...... Would you mind if your 16 year old daughter sleeps with her bf or you deem that can be avoided - if yes how to escape the weft and weave of culture here.
Same goes towards drinking and talking back to parents - I was taken aback when I recently attended a driver s course with teens here and most of them were sitting with their feet on the table with their books - no wonder why here a majority of them go wayward whereas in India the emphasis is on career & studies.
Aren't maids / drivers / ironing man needed comforts if so are better roads & safety?
Yes it takes time to reach office in Delhi but so it does in Toronto or Dubai ?
Someone said whether doctors have a comparable life in India - doctors are one of the most well paid lots in India (sans taxes) and would be the least interested immigrants . Medical services in India are superb due to abundance of intellect - even in an average city you can find the best of specialists - how much are the waiting times here for knee surgeries - 4 years I heard yesterday on the news .
What about culture getting compromised upon after 1-2 generations . Can that be avoided or is it acceptable ?
Imagine what life one can lead in Rs 80 K or more pm in India --- yes if you work as an average worker like a cook / cabbie you have more benefits here .
Sm1 mentioned - children cant play in India --- think again ......... how easy is out life in India and here its so prohibitory due to weather conditions --- for 3 months you are packed indoors .
Vegetarianism comes as second nature in India with so many varieties - here I find the varieties of vegetables available to be quite less. Eating out is so cheap relatively in India .
Celebrating festivals is so prevalent and intrinsic of any culture - the air changes in India around Diwali and Holi as it changes here on Xmas and Halloween here.
You can be constantly in touch with your parents and siblings and their families - how much our parents need us in their old age -- isn't that important ?
Power backup and 24 hrs waters are available facilities in newer upscale colonies . An ac car + driver is your cheap answer for traffic blues.
Yes you cant change the main stream systems but you can surely use them for your advantage -- cheap metro / railways for example .

thanks god atleast you people are not soldier otherwise you could have said we are not giving our life for India as road here sucks we will not fight for Kargil but we will fight in Iraq/Afganistan behalf of USA/Canda,because USA and Canada offer more quality of life.
thanks god there are still some parents who feel proud when their children die for India other wise how could India had survived if we only have parents who have escaped from India for better quality of life of their children.
No offence but the truth is - Changing the passport is like changing mother. If anyone is comfortable with changing Mother for the shake of better road condition its personal choice but for the god shake don't abuse India because for some people its not just a country it mother, Motherland.
I wont be surprise if you guys stop praying Ram/krishna or other Hindu god as they born in India.no matter how fancy road you can built here you can not build Banaras/Haridwar/brindavan/vaishnavdevi/tirupati, here.
No matter how clean is Ottawa River but soul can only get "Moksha" when the "Asthi' goes to GANGA River
Other way it's good for India that people like you guys don't live there, no wonder why there is lots of anti Indian group get funding from canada from xIndian itself.

oooooopssssss I should say O' My Canada(O' My god Canada)
