Today, I received two emails from CIC.
1) Asking for Medical and PCC
Question:
My mom was here for more than 6 months on visitor visa. (I had extended for 3 months). Do I need PCC from canada? I know people were talking here it is not require but where is the official information on website.
2) Asking document to prove relationship with Sponsor. (Sponsor's birth certificate or Family Registry or Kinship Certificate or sponsor's Baptismal certifcate showing name of parent(s))
I do not have birth certificate and I had submitted school leaving certificate. Letter indicates that we received sponsor's school leaving certificate but it doesn't have parent information.
Question:
I am in Canada and my parents are in India. I do not have any document listed above.
What are the option for me?
Thanks
In my case, CIC asked for my Birth certificate in original Native language last month.
I already submitted English translated version and Indian passport copy as well to prove relationship between sponser and parents in documents submission time but afterward CIC asked for original version of Birth certificate (i.e. - Gujarati language version) copy too.
I am not Criticizing you, but i LOL on your last line as below...
What are the option for me?
answer is Do you have any option against CIC?..........![]()
CIC is like Hitler rules....either "MY WAY" OR "HIGH WAY".
You have to follow whatever they says doesn't matter
how much pain you are feeling to get this all documents.....?
how much money and time consuming this all process?
If CIC wants than they are eligible to get all the information from your original file when you applied to come here in Canada but they won't do that and they are asking more and more documents that's it...........![]()
Sorry to take it out all my frustration b'cos of CIC, we are waiting for more than 4 and half years and no results yet....![]()
all the best....Dude.......![]()

Folks ,
Let us not consider these things lightly . I know of a case where CIC asked for DNA tests and rejected the case as DNA s did not match ... One of the siblings was adopted .
PCC - Do not mess with it as it is an inter Governmental document - Request for correction or seek a new one citing the mistakes in the old one .
Birth Certificate : You must have some record to prove either of your parents : High School certificate carries father's name ... Indian Passport also carries parents' name . Plus an Affidavit is also a legal document ....

Fido.
Do you know anyone whose Indian Passport accepted by CIC as proof of relationship with parents in absent of birth certificate?
if yes, Do I need to send copy of passport inlcuding blank pages? OR Do you think sending first and last page page of passport is okay?

I understand that I need to provide the require document.
I am wondering about what will be elligible and how can I get that document.
I am from Gujarat and do not have document listed above.
I have cancelled/expired Indian Passport. Do you know/think that is enough to prove relationship?
is it possible to get birth certificate through affidevit and notary? (I am in Canada)
What other documents are valid to prove relationship and What is the process to get it now?
Thanks,

In my case, CIC did not accepted passport as a proof of relationship.
