But isn't the medical compulsory for any kind of immigration? be it skilled worker or parent/grand parent immigration. When I had applied I had provided all the above 3 documents. PCC from Indian embassy, medicals, and marriage certs.
Anyhow, hopefully you should get in couple of days and if that happens please post it here. Other thing is, on the mailing address did you provide the mailing address of yours over here or the one in India? If India then obviously it is going to take time.
What I am not sure about is how much time do they take once all the above documents submitted...did anyone actully got an approval as part of this process?
PCC from Indian Embassy? so ur folks are in Canada? if yes can u tell me how long did it take for it and what docs did you provide?
the thing is that, I got it mine when I was in US. There indian embassy just took I think $20 or something along with passport and then just sent the details back. They must be sending the details (may be even passport) to India hence 6 weeks time frame.

Yes G13, this is something new.
I always believed that you get the PCC and Medical request only after all the other paperwork is complete. But, anything weird is possible when Jason Kenny is at the helm of affairs.
For my parents' case, I have been trying to call them but their lines seem to busy all the time. So, instead I responded to their emails and requested to extend the time limit to furnish the required documentation. Let's see what they say.
By the way, does CIC accept the marriage certificate that Consulate supplies?

I have heard that in India, cops would come to your place for identification but what happens when you are out of India? did you hear or find out if cops came to your house?
