Hello
I have adopted my brother's son one year back.
All the formalities at Indian end are completed like registration, court decree/order and passport.
I want to know how I can sponsor my adopted son now. What is the procedure? are there any speedy ways I can bring him to Canada. I live in Edmonton.
Please help
Finally submitted my mother's passport to ND VO.
Took a risky yet brave decision of mailing the passport from Canada to India via Fedex. Had no other option and God saved me as the passport reached safely today to the embassy without any issues.
Now awaiting the result.

My parents received a phone call from CIC LVO informing them they need police clearance certificates from the United States. My Dad informed them that they never stayed in US for more than 6 months, so CIC LVO asked for copied of passports which could prove this. My dad also asked if he will receive a formal letter for submitting this proof, and they said "Yes".
The question is should we wait to receive the formal letter or go ahead an submit the proof to the LVO via mail?
Any advise, pointers appreciated, thanks!

What proof will that be? stamps on PP?
My father has 17 trips to US since 1980, none of them over 6 months, spanned across 5 passports under a maze of stamps which are difficult to tell
My mother did live for more than 6 moths, I already sent her FBI, AND I also have my fathers FBI but never sent it as I was told not to send stuff they don't ask
