Today, I have received similar email for submitting passport at VFS.

I hope process will be completed in a week after submitting passports.

congratulations.....that means your file has been approved and CIC is going to stamp visa sticker on passport.

We are able to track passports when submitting for visitor visa through the VFS.

Did you try to track your passport when you submitted for PR VISA stamp through VFS?
What other documents you got along with VISA stamp in passport? (i.e. landing papers ..)
