Hi all:
Good news is my mother has received her medical information request and along with it the letter states to submit updated forms like IMM008, sch A, IMM5406. Is this common for everyone?
Now the problem is that they have asked to submit passport and medicals to the Delhi address and she needs to show the address in India.
She is actually on a visit visa and is staying with me right now and has her extension till Dec 2013 next year. How do i proceed with this now? Medicals i think she can do in Canada, but is it safe to send the passport to India inspite of she staying in Canada?
Also, she had done her police clearnce for both Canada and India in Dec 2011. Are those certificates still valid?
Please help and Sorry of this is a redendant post and i am higghly confused.
Thanks.

PCC should be valid, did they ask for Canadian PCC or did it voluntarily?
Is she on Supervisa
Those form are common
You can sent via Courrier to Embassy - no issues but the return has to be an address in India, BUT I am not sure if they will create a problem if they see PP coming from Canada and here's why
This is their reply to me
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.
If the applicant or dependents are currently outside of India, or have upcoming or frequent travel outside of India, they are not required to submit passports at this time. However, if they are not submitting their passport with the other items requested, they or their authorized representative must submit a letter explaining why they are unable to submit their passport. When the processing of the application has reached the final review stage, we will send a second request letter. Once the applicant receives this letter, they must submit their passport by the date specified, failing which the application may be refused.
Please note that waiting for a second passport request will delay the completion of processing of the application.
The visa(s) can only be issued by the visa office where the application is in process and cannot be transferred to Canada or any other visa office for visa issuance. As well, Indian law prohibits the sending of passports in and out of the country by mail or courier.
Once the applicant submits their passport, they will need to provide a mailing address in India to which their passport can be returned by Registered mail after the visa is issued. If that address is different than the address currently on file, they will need to submit an original letter, signed by them or their authorized representative, requesting a change of address.
A trusted friend, relative, or agent may send, through the secure means outlined above, from within India, their passport to our office on their behalf. However, please note that it is the applicant’s responsibility to send the passports to our office in adherence with international law and within the deadline which we have given for such submission.
Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status. For actual processing times of permanent resident applications in New Delhi for the last 12 months, please click here. Applicants may also refer to our website, www.india.gc.ca, for more information about processing times.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Never heard of any parent who needs interview however I would still be worried about Mailing the passport, courrier rules say we can mail ONLY to embassy but as the letter suggest, it's illegal to send it. If they see it coing from Canada, will they notify Indian authorities that this is illegal?
As for meds, you can present with copy of passport ( as it says in the letter you got ) and you have the letter stating that you sent pp
Other things are not that tough, than sending the passport - let me know what u decide, I am confused too

I haven't got anything yet, just seeing other voyagers - and pciking/giving tips.
Well, let me know when its reached, so i can have the confidence to do the same - buy the most expensive one with tracking as I had bad experience with Canada Post - I sent PCC to New Delhi and it never showed it was reached and I opened an investigation, but my GCMS notes showed it reached and after 3 months canada post confirmed it too
So choose like DHL, Fedex or UPS
