   Laptop: ...All the best while going to India. The T.O airport nor the indian airport is concerned with 1 laptop per person. In India , especially they say that one laptop is free of duty. The T.O. airport only asks if you have Jewelery once you come back. You may or maynot say yes. I said NO , though i carried a lot of gold/ diamonds for a friend in Toronto (sent through me by their family members). Try to get a round pin to go over your rectangular pin and check to see that your Laptop will operate at 220/240V. TK

   ...All these times, I was sending thru wire or thru bank draft. When I was in desh, I had taken Amex travellers cheques. Got bad deals in the bank (Indian Bank). Once I got less than $39.50 (abt two weeks back). I wasdistracted for a few minutes and got hoodwincked. What else is there to send money to get a decent rate (not black)? I need to send around $40k (bought an apt in Chennai). DIO

   Calculations: ...Your calculations are good and correct to the best of my knowledge. If you are in good health and you are able to travel and complete the requirements prior to that, then you will be laughing all the way to the Indian Continent. But RENEW your PR Card for a New one with current picture a month prior to the lapse of the card. Then you will have more clout to your re-entry.    ...One thing the teen could do is to check out the Univ course s/he is interested in and then work back to figure out the required high school courses. FYI - my teen is currently taking functions and relations; while this is a good course, it is not as rigorous as the Indian courses especially the ICSE stream. It is very important how you word it in order to get Interview calls. My friend changed the resume for some one and he started getting many calls(and before that no one was calling him). If it is only for getting a good job, then better try for some post graduate course. Well, it is also a choice and interest of a person if they want to study. Everyone know that you need to have Canadian education or experience to get a good job. Question to be asked is what do you mean by Canadian education and Experience?

   Indians have very peculiar mentality - They hate their own country and own family if they see other developed countries and foreigners. This is shame for Indians. Indian should be Indians always and should patriot their own country – Look at other foreigners they never influenced by any foreign countries and foreigners and not giving up their own values for roads and buildings.
