Health and Wellness: Meal Replacement Diet
Started by: Pink Panther on 26 Jul 2006
Hello: ... people who have done it and it works wonders eg.. lost 1 lb a day sometimes that means 15-20 pounds a month! However when one comes back to normal routine, the weight gain is doubled. I would suggest, go for it but 2-3 times a weak and other days just maintain usual diet with excercise. That way your body would be used to of digesting normal food. In long term, it is harmful to strictly follow this type of diet consisting of pills and shakes. All the best in your weigth management process. Please keep us posted as that will be helpful for all. Thanks and Cheers! RR

General: Dubai / ex Dubai folks, your reasoning behind the change in Dubai
Started by: JRF on 18 Mar 2007
...s . One very pertinent q comes to my mind ~ why is there always a queue for people to come in in these GCCs . And why the people already here are resistent to return . Is it also bnot true that taking all factors in account life is still lot cheaper than Canada / Europe / West and the Govt subsidised a lot of things including food articles. A pepsi costs 1 Dh there , it costs $1 + here . Plus everything from cabs and electricity and everything is much cheaper . Plus the weather is good and Jumeirah is fun :) Though I do agree that rents have gone up exhorbitantly and the 2nd class citizen argument plus the job insecurity and lack of permanence . ...

Life: Moving to Calgary

...nd Saskatchewan that has only just started. Calgary is a mid size city, I would say. Not many pubs and dance bars like toronto or GTA. Not many temples, but there are quite a few. But there are a handful of good indian restaurants, a thriving punjabi community (as well as desi) and relatively better traffic (although it sucks during the peak time). Gas is cheapest in Calgary and all over Alberta. Rest are all a bit expensive than the other provinces (don't let me start about the food prices). Houses are relatively cheaper to buy than ON or BC. Almost forgot to say, weather sucks big time. Snow will not be shoveled off and you got to literally roll your tires in that snowy ice from not gettin...

Have Fun!: Ant and Grasshopper

...s he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold. THE END THE CANADIAN VERSION: The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. So far, so good, eh? >> > > >> The shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less fortunate, like hi...
