If you want to fly anywhere, (elsewhere in Canada, India, US) etc, you will shell out at least 200-300 bucks more per ticket. The Indian 'temple' is just a little more than a house with the pratima etc. But yes there are gatherings, especially on Sunday etc. Overall, halifax is a great place to retire, it isn't really the ideal place if you're trying to make a living....
