   Wife's surname change in Passport: ... be fine. But when I called Toronto Indian consulate, they said they will change the surname only if in the marriege certificate she has my surname. And, the registrar in India said he can give marriage certificate only with her surname. Now my question is: can I get my wife's surname changed even if the marriage certificate has her surname? did anyone come across such issue?

Recently I tried their Thai Sweet and Spicy dipping sauce and it is really yummy, great with spring rolls or pakoras. On those occasions I need to use an ready made Indian sauce, I stick to Pataks because it's what I know from back home (UK). Their Tandoori paste is awesome...Sharwoods is also good I've heard. If u are with family and want to stay in Basement Apt. it may cost u upto 700 /800 for 1 / 2 BHK plus food expenses of around 300 dollars/month and some sundry exp. like internet /cable /phone connection etc. @ 100 dollars. so in total it may come around 1200 dollars for a family of 3 in basement and if u want to stay in apartment add 200 more to that. this estimate does not include your travelling expenses...or car related expenses.

Also one can get a marriage registered at a later date also in India if you can get written statement from 2 people who attended the wedding ...My parents got a marriage certificate this way. In India , birth certificate is submitted to school at admission .. Therefore the High School certificate is accepted for date of birth purposes ....Provide 4 docs : Passport High School certificate . Marriage certificate . Affidavit. and you should be good .
